Dress Code Rules Dancers must wear appropriate shoes to each style of class. All dancers (not just ballet dancers) must wear tights to class to protect the legs and keep the muscles warm. All Images Dance Place dancers (ages 3 - adult) must follow the dress code requirements. Warm-up attire is at the teacher’s discretion Please do not wear baggy attire to class. Our instructors need to be able to see the student’s posture and alignment to properly assist the student’s lessons. Combination Classes - Solid pink leotard - Pink tights - Pink ballet slippers - Black tap shoes with either buckles or elastic (no ribbons please) - Hair must be pulled into a bun Ballet 1 and Ballet 2 - Solid Baby blue leotard - Pink ballet slippers - No pants, shorts, t-shirts, or sweatshirts allowed - Hair must be pulled into a bun Ballet 3 and Ballet 4 / Company - Solid Black leotard - Pink Tights - Pink ballet slippers - No pants, shorts, t-shirts, or sweatshirts allowed - Hair must be pulled into a bun Tap - Solid color leotard or tight fitting top - Low heel tap shoes with either elastic or buckles or shoestrings - Jazz Pants and/or dance skirts allowed - Hair must be pulled off of the face and neck Jazz and Lyrical - Solid color leotard or tight fitting top - Black Jazz Shoes - Jazz Pants - Hair must be pulled off of the face and neck Hip-Hop - Solid color leotard or tight fitting top - Athletic “tennis” shoes - Jazz Pants - Hair must be pulled off of the face and neck |
